The first step in getting nature-based services is to complete this questionnaire. After receiving, we'll schedule an initial consultation to review your answers in detail, and select nature-based services that meet the unique needs of the individuals you serve. We'll then write up a proposal for contracted services.
Our contracted services begin with a written proposal to initiate team building and formation of local alliance with government agencies and local organizations for nature-based services.
Here we prioritize services to be expanded or created, and identify potential nature-based sites in the local community. This can include locations, consumers, types of services, funding, staffing, education, and training.
We'll come to your office (or meet virtually!) to train your team in the fundamentals of the Layers of Life Model and program activities. Your team will learn how all the moving parts fit together, and develop your timeline, goals, and priorities for the success of this project.
Organize your Nature-Based Team. This may include key individuals from your company, and/or representatives across multiple agencies. Determine who will be responsible for each component as we move forward. Set weekly meetings to provide updates, feedback, and metrics for success.
In the planning phase we'll dive into the infrastructure development plan, service target market, initial site identification and development, review equipment needs, structure, and plan out the big picture by starting small and growing big.
We will assist you to get organized and ready to build your nature-based services. Start small and grow big! Utilized our program model to identify your community possibilities, target specific populations, geographic locations, and type of nature-based services (nature only or animal assisted). Map out the options for partners and future growth.
Identify the initial service area that you want to target based upon the results of your needs assessment. Our program activities will be dependent upon starting point of individual or group. This may include individual or group consumer services in a nature-based setting. We can begin with our professionals and start off with your local service providers. Use of animal assisted services will vary based upon your availability in area, needs, and desires.
We'll assist you in the identification of local venues that can serve as a nature-based service locations in your community. We'll consult on site modifications for integrated use and accessibility, conduct a cost benefit analysis, and assist with the development of policies and procedures for nature only and animal based services. We'll also identify materials needed to utilize the nature-based services you've selected.
Here we develop the organizational structure for your first program to reach out to families and individuals in your local community. We will collaborate with you on the processes for contacts, enrollment, scheduling of services. Typical programs run for six (6) weeks in individual or group or as identified by the contract agency.
Our marketing department will streamline information about the new exiting nature- based opportunity that you selected to recruit participation. Educational materials can be printed or digital.
We will coordinate with your agency the enrollment of individuals into the initial nature-based services. This stage includes coordination of HIPPA and FERPA information, consent, and release of information.
Our marketing department will develop methods to obtain feedback on the programming and nature-based services. We promote, assess, develop, implement, and reassess programming to ensure you and your families have the best experience possible. Anonymous feedback is critical for program success.
We'll get the word out to get your community about the exciting new nature based opportunities as they progress. Our marketing department will work with your agency to promote our partnership. Program awareness will be customized via print, electronic, and face-to-face venues, plus we'll present at professional state and local conferences.
We have organized, planned, and now it is time to implement your nature-based services!
Our trauma-based model includes access to our customizable activities which covers individuals across their full lifespan and challenges. Visual supports, communication displays, assistive technology, and other accommodations for accessibility are supplemented in the curriculum.
A program will be delivered as directed by the contracting agency.
Local service provider training will occur as agreed to integrate nature-based services into your existing programs or create new versions or options to programming. Service providers may include: speech-language, occupational, physical, music, and art therapists; case managers, general and special educators, paraprofessionals, job coaches; counselors, behavioral, mental health, and equine specialists.

In the project expansion phase we'll dive into the next infrastructure development plan you identified in your planning phase, and explore ways to keep your project funded by soliciting new partners.
We'll help identify ways to maximize your current reimbursement or services in a nature-based setting by enlisting community partners such as local school systems, and government agencies, for program expansion and identification of other funding sources to help offset your costs.
You have the tools, now it's time for your team to take the reins, and continue your nature-based programs success.
After we transition services to your team for sustainability, we are available for a variety of consultations and retraining to ensure continued success. We also offer a plethora of online resources.
Our marketing department will work with your agency to promote the program via print, electronic, and face-to-face venues, plus we'll present at professional state and local conferences. We'll get the word out to get your community excited about new opportunities in their local areas.
After successful completion of phase two, your trainees will will receive certification of training completion. Each participating agency will be receive permission to purchase and display our agency logo to communicate a unified nature based programming throughout their community.
